Abstract: Chromium picolinate (［Cr(pic)3］), as one of organic chromium compounds, has been the popular Cr supplement. But, it has been not issued the safe dosage of ［Cr(pic)3］. Meanwhile, research of security of ［Cr(pic)3］ has been going on until now. But the results we have got are controversial. Thus, this review summarized the safety research and possible metabolism pathways of ［Cr(pic)3］, so that provide the theory background for further research of ［Cr(pic)3］.
