The Effects of Cytochalasin B on Vitrification of Ovine GV-stage Oocytes

Abstract: In this experiment, the effect of cytochalasin B (CB) on vitrification of ovine GV-stage oocytes were analyzed. This experiment included toxicity test,vitrification and pretreatment with different cytochalasin B (CB) concentration. The results were as follows: rates of matured oocytes of toxicity groups both, with or without CB pretreatment were lower than control group (P<0.05), but there was no difference between them(P>0.05). In vitrified groups, the rate of matured oocytes was 16.1% and 14.1% respectively after in vitro maturation culture, they were all significantly lower than control group (P<0.05). 9.0ug/ml of CB could improve the maturation rate compared with control group(P<0.05).
