摘要: 神经黑色素(NM)是人脑儿茶酚胺神经元中的一个复杂色素聚合体。它在人脑中的量很多,在一些其他非灵长类物种很少,在许多低等生物中甚至没有。由于神经黑色素可能与帕金森疾病(PD)中细胞死亡的含神经黑色素的神经元损害有关,最近几年对这种色素的研究再一次受到关注。作者集中讨论了NM的结构、生物合成、生物学功能以及与疾病的关系。

Abstract: Neuromelanin (NM) is a complex polymer pigment found in catecholaminergic neurons of the human brain. It appears in greatest quantities in the human brain, in lesser amounts in some other nonhuman primates, but is absent from the brain in many lower species. Interest in this pigment has seen a resurgence in recent years because of a hypothesised link between neuromelanin and the especial vulnerability of neuromelanincontaining neurons to cell death in Parkinson’s disease (PD). In this review, the molecule structure, biosynthesis, biological function and the connection with diseases of NM were summarized.
