Research Progress on Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus

Abstract: Porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) caused by porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) is a contagious acute gastrointestinal infection, which has brought great economic losses to the pig industry in recent years.The article reviewed advances in molecular biology, methods of detection, genetic variation and vaccine development to provide references for further study in preventing porcine epidemic diarrhea.
