Abstract: To test the accuracy of domestic fibre diameter measurement instrument, AODA2000, wool samples from 314 wool sheep and foreign fibre diameter measurement instrument, OFDA100, were used. Each sample was measured by the tow instruments (AODA 2000, domestic; OFDA100, imported), respectively. Then, the Paired-Sample T Test was done. The results showed that there was no significant difference (P>0.05) in fineness measurement between the two instruments. Therefore, there is no difference between AODA2000 and OFDA100 in measuring fire diameter, and the AODA2000 can take the place of OFDA100.
