Abstract: In the experiment, 104 CFU/mL/3 to 4 kg (body weight) of Staphylococcus aureus that was isolated from the milk of dairy cattle with mastitis were infused into the third of mammary gland in 16 healthy rabbits. When the clinical mastitis model was challenged, collect blood 0.5 mL, serum 1 mL, for blood and blood biochemical detection, and determination of inflammatory cytokines (ELISA). The model, from before established model 1 h and 4 h, 12 h, 24 h, 36 h, 48 h, 72 h, collect blood 0.5 mL, serum 1 mL, for blood and blood biochemical detection, and determination of inflammatory cytokines (ELISA). The results showed that: ①12-72 h after challenged, the total number of peripheral white blood cells was significantly higher than pre challenge level (P<0.01); ②12-72 h after challenged, serum calcium content was significantly lower than prechallenge level (P<0.01); ③12-72 h after challenged, the TNF-α and IL-6 concentration was lower than prechallenge level (P<0.01). The results demonstrated that all the chanues were the same as inflammatory response, and could be used as pathological model.
