Abstract: A strain of Eimeria coccidia was isolated from suspensions of oocysts by the use of the single oocyst isolation technique. The oocysts of the strain were elliptical in shape and had average dimensions of (22.51±0.4790) μm×(15.94±0.5599)μm. Its prepatent period was 120 h and 50 min, and the peak of oocyst production occurred on the 6th post infection. Comparing the data of our observation with literature of Eimeria coccidia the isolated strain of Eimeria coccidia was identified as Eimeria. brunetti and was named as Eimeria. brunetti-GXNN. By further researching the characteristics of the postcocious line we would use it as an immunity candidate strain of Eimeria coccidia.
