Abstract: Two set of primers were designed according to the mitochondrial DNA sequences of the targets,8 meat powder were detected by visual loop-mediate isothermal amplification (vLAMP) for method specificity, and meanwhile the mode of artificially contaminated feed was constructed to evaluate the sensitivity of vLAMP assay. The results showed that the bovine and ovine-derived materials had specific amplification, but the other animal origin submitted negative reactions.Sensitivity of vLAMP assay for bovine and ovine-derived materials was 0.001%.In conclusion, the vLAMP assay developed in the present study was a specific, sensitive, simple and convenient method for the rapid screening of bovine and ovine-derived materials in contaminated feeds.
