Biological Function and Extraction Process of Glycyrrhizic Acid and its Application in Monogastric Animal

Abstract: Glycyrrhizic acid is the active constituent of glycyrrhiza and the vital indicator of quality assessment.Furthermore,it has several high biological function,such as antioxidant,antitumor and antivirus and so on.In order to provide scientific basis for the further development and utilization of the glycyrrhizic acid in animal husbandry,this article reviews the process of water extraction,ammonia extraction and ammonia ethanol extraction and the application of glycyrrhizic acid in monogastric animals.
