Abstract: Morphological and molecular identification were done with the high protease-producing strains screened out from 245 marine organism and environmental samples, and their biological characteristics and compatibility effects between different strains were investigated. The results showed that, both the isolates Pe and Pc were identified as Bacillus subtilis, Ps was identified as Bacillus licheniformis. All the three isolates entered the growth platform phase after 16 h cultivation. The optimum pH and temperature for the growth of Pc and Ps strains were 7.0 and 35℃, respectively. And the optimum pH and temperature for the growth of Pe strain was 6.5 and 30℃, respectively. The best enzyme production occurred when the proportion of Pe and Ps was 1:1.
