Abstract: In this test we collected goat’s lesions of lung tissue in Inner Mongolia which was probably infected with pleuropneumonia, and inoculated it on the mycoplasma selection medium under sterile conditions to isolate Mycoplasma.Through the cultivated characters, morphology and culture characterization and biochemical reactions, the isolated strain was preliminarily identified as Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae(MO).Then we extracted the isolated strain’s genomic DNA and amplified its 16S rRNA by the commom primers,33 reference strains were loaded down from GenBank, the result of sequence analysis indicated that the isolated strain exhibited 99% homology with reference strain Y-98.The results indicated that the isolated strain was MO.
