Abstract: In this study, myogenin (MyoG) gene as a candidate gene of slaughter traits, the genetic relationship between the single nucleotide polymorphism sites (SNPs) of MyoG gene and slaughter traits of 13 weeks old Royal chickens were analyzed. MyoG gene was amplified by PCR, the information of DNA sequences were obtained by direct sequenced of the PCR products. The results showed that four SNPs were found in the exons of MyoG gene. There were four haplotypes ((T-T-A-G (H1), T-T-A-A (H2), C-C-A-G (H3) and C-C-G-A (H4)) and five diplotypes(H1H1 ,H1H2,H1H3,H1H4,H2H3). By statistical analysis, it showed that there were no significant associations between diplotypes and slaughter traits of Royal chickens.
