Performance Comparative Analysis of Gaoligongshan Pig and Mingguang Small-ear Pig

Abstract: The experiment analysed that the body weight,body ruler,slaughter performance and meat chemical composition between Gaoligongshan pig and Mingguang small-ear pig. Gaoligongshan pig were higher than Mingguang small-ear pig in body weight,body length and chest circumference;Gaoligongshan pig above Mingguang small-ear pig in carcass weight,dressing percentage,fat percentage,eye muscle area and back-fat thickness;the same between Gaoligongshan pig and Mingguang small-ear pig in meat chemical composition. The results showed that the muscle chemical composition was approximate in Gaoligongshan pig and Mingguang small-ear pig,but the boby of Gaoligongshan pig was bigger, and the slaughtering performance was better than Mingguang small-ear pig.
