Abstract: Pseudorabies continued to spread throughout the swine farms in China and caused large economic loss for Chinese swine industry, It cause reproductive failure in breeding herds and neurological disorder and high mortality in piglet. pseudorabies virus (PRV) is also an important primary pathogen in porcine respiratory disease syndrome (PRDC). 1940 serum samples from 46 large scaled swine farms located in 8 provinces were determined by differential PRV blocking gE-ELISA, it showed that 657 (33.87%) samples were positive for antibody to gE of PRV, and 25 swine farms were positive for antibody to gE of PRV. Among these swine farms, the highest positive rate of field PRV infection is 75.76% (125/165). While some well-managed swine farms which performed scientific PRV immune procedure were negative for virulent field PRV infection. Gene deleted PRV vaccine(AUSKIPRAGN) and commercial gE-ELISA reagent provide an ideal tool for the
control and eradication of pseudorabies. 
