Abstract: Mycoplasma hyrhinis (Mhr) was a common inhabitant in the nasal cavity of pigs.To prepare antiserum of Mhr, we immuned New Zealand White rabbit with Mhr which was emulsified with freund's adjuvant.Western blotting analysis showed that antiserum had the immuneoreactivity to Mhr.The antibody titer was more than 1:160 000 detected by established indirect ELISA.The growth inhibition test confirmed that antiserum could significantly inhibit the growth of Mhr, but the effect on the growth of Mycoplasma pneumoniae (Mhp) was weak. The above results would provide means for identification and detection of Mhr, and also provide references for the separation of Mhp.
