Research Progress on Pregnancy-associated Glycoprotein and its Application in Early Pregnancy Diagnosis of Ruminants

Abstract: Pregnancy-associated glycoprotein (PAG) are macromolecules produced by placental tissue and released into the maternal circulation which plays an important role in the process of pregnancy.Recent studies focuses on the indirect pregnancy detection methods that unharmful,high accuracy and strong specificity,like hormones detection in blood or milk,PAG detection in blood is one of most popular method.In this paper,we reviewed the funtion,physiological role of PAG,and concentrations change of PAG in pregnacy ruminants and applications of PAG detection for early pregnancy diagnosis.
