Abstract: In order to explore the difference of outer membrane protein (OMP) of different serotype of Avibacterium paragallinarum, the OMP of three reference strains of Avibacterium paragallinarum serotype A (221),B(0222) and C (Modesto) were prepared by FOCUSTM Global Fractionation Kit and examined through SDS-PAGE. As a result, three different serotypes of Avibacterium paragallinarum showed similar SDS-PAGE profile. In each samples, there were seven main strips, each had the similar molecular weight which was analyzed by the gel quantitative software. The percentage of serotype A, B and C was 70.85%, 68.6% and 65.71%, respectively. In addition, the molecular weights of three bands were somewhat identical, whereas the protein content of them were significantly different (P<0.05). This study provided a theoretical basis for the further study of the OMP of Avibacterium paragallinarum.
