Abstract: The experiment was conducted to stduy the effect of Bacillus, Lactobacillus on intestinal microflora,pH and volatile base nitrogen (VBN) of weaned piglets. 24 crossbred piglets (Yorkshire×Landrace×Duroc) were randomly allocated to three dietary treatments with 4 pens of 2 each and to feed for a period of 30 d. After the test, four piglets in each treatment were slaughtered, the digesta of the cecum and colon was collected to determine intestinal microflora, pH and volatile base nitrogen. The results showed that the Bacillus and Lactobacillus were making the relative number of Lactobacilli in the cecum and colon increased, the pH value of cecal digesta reduced, the pH value of colonic contents increased, and VBN of intestine content lower. The study showed that Bacillus and Lactobacillus improved intestinal microflora and reduced the intestinal protein rancidness.
