Abstract: One strain of Staphylococcus aureus was isolated and identified by 16S rRNA sequence analysis and biochemical analysis in a large-scale sheep farms, it was named as JLY-1. The drug resistance analysis of the strain was conducted. The result showed that JLY-1 was highly resistant to erythromycin, ampicillin, chemitrim (MIC≥512 μg/mL);resistant to doxycycline, amikacin (MIC≥64 μg/mL) and ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin (MIC≥4 μg/mL);and sensitive to florfenicol and cefatriaxone (MIC≤0.25 μg/mL).
