Abstract: The assay was aimed to study the inhibitory mechanism of pseudolaric acid B (PAB) in MCF-7 cell line. MCF-7 cell was human breast cancer cell lacking of caspase 3 function. In this study, it was found that PAB activated caspase 8 and caspase 9 to induce cell apoptosis. Meanwhile PAB up-regulated P53 protein expression. Therefore PAB induced MCF-7 cell apoptosis through increasing P53 protein expression and promoting the activation of caspase 8 and caspase 9.
