Abstract: Bone metabolism included bone formation and bone absorption. Parathyroid hormone(PTH) was a factor and played an important role in regulating bone remodeling and formation,in where PHT through the G protein coupled receptors, parathyroid hormone/parathyroid hormone related peptide receptor activity regulating bone metabolism. Recent years, PTH had now been approved for clinical diagnose in the treatment of bone loss in osteoporosis as bone anabolic drugs and opened up a new age. The author summarized the mechanism of PTH on the bone remodeling and function of related regulatory genes in bone metabolism.
