Abstract: Laparoscopic surgery had many advantages, such as sufficient exposure of abdominal organ structure during the operation, the minimal invasion on the operative animals, the minimal incision, the less bleeding, postoperative mild pain, rapid recovery and the less tissue adhesions. Laparoscopic technique has been used routinely in human medicine since the 1980s. In veterinary medicine, there are many reports of the application of laparoscopic technique abroad, but relatively little in domestic. The main application of laparoscopic technique in small animals includes the application in biopsied, digestive system, urinary system and reproductive system.
