Abstract: Activin (ACT) and inhibin (INH) are members of the transforming growth factor β(TGF-β) superfamily of growth factors, they have varieties of biological functions and activity. The physiological functions realized by combining receptors with target organs. In this review, we summarize the structure character and functions of activin and inhibin, discussed the mode of action for its receptors.
