Abstract: The duck infectious serositis is one of the most acute and septic infectious with a high mortality, which severely affect the development of ducks industry. All kinds of conditions were screened in study on infecting method of serositis in duck. Ducks of six-week old were injected with Pasteurella anatipestifer by abdominal cavit. On the basis of the experiment of bacteria dose of infection, the most suitable experimental infectious dose of bacteria was 0.5 mL (4.5×109CFU/mL). Injected ducks began to sicken after five hours, and the mortality came to 80% in 3 to 5 days. The clinical symptoms, the pathology examination and etiology identification are in line with the requirements of disease model replication. The method can provide theoretical basis for pathology study and screening for new drugs.
