An Overview of Niacin as a Feed Supplement in Ruminant Production

Abstract: Niacin is relative to animal’s metabolic processes of energy,fat and protein,which plays an important role in the development of animal’s production. In order to provide theory for reasonable utilization of niacin in practice,this article summarizes its absorption and metabolism in ruminant,factors that influence the process,and its effect on rumen microbe,ketone body in blood and production.
