Study on Anti-cervical Cancer Activity of Euphorbia Humifusa

Abstract:

Euphorbia humifusa is always used to cure bacillary dysentery，enteritis，virus hepatitis，coughing up blood，blood urine，blood feces. This study using cervical cancer-bearing mice models investigated the anti-cervical activity of Euphorbia humifusa which was extracted by decoction according to tumor inhibition rate and the effect on expression of mutant p53 protein. It was obvious that the aqueous extract of Euphorbia humifusa could inhibit growth of tumor and significantly down regulate the expression of mutant p53 protein. This could be the potential mechanism of Euphorbia humifusa’s anti-tumor activity.
