Abstract: In order to investigate the advantages of raising ducks in nets, we took raising on floors as control in this study. The survival rate, weight gain, feed consumption, feed intake and feed weight ratio of meat ducks under the two rearing methods were determined, respectively. The results showed that the survival rate of ducks raised in nets was 4.3% higher than that of on floors; weight gains of whole course and in growing periods raised in nets were significantly higher (P<0.05) than the control group. As far as feed consumption of whole course was concerned, the value of raising in nets was lower, but there was no obvious difference between them. The feed weight ratio of meat ducks raised in nets(1.98)was significantly lower(P<0.01)than the control group(2.14). In balance, feeding effects of raising in nets were better than that of control group (raising on floors).
