Abstract: The southern part of China has vast area of grassland, but the stockbreeding in there is less developed. The utilization ratio of grassland is also very low. This paper gives a general analysis of the presentday situation of the grassland in southern China as well as the existing problems in the mode of production of stockbreeding. It also rises the idea of establishing new way of stockbreeding; using the grassland properly to increase its output of its, so that “ecology, economy and society” these three elements could develop harmoniously.
