Abstract: The capability of heat-insulating and economy of the surroundings of pig houses of light steel-arched frame with polystyrene insulation were analyzed . The results showed:1)the heat resistance of wall was a little small that condensation would happen in cold winter;2)the property of roof insulation was not good because the maximum temperature of inner surface might be upper than the maximum air temperature outside in summer; 3)the fairly economic thickness of polystyrene of the roof was 50mm or so.
