The Investigating and Deworming of Parasites in Digestive Tract of Carnivorous Animal and Omnivore

Abstract: The method of saturated brine floating and McMaster`s was used in this test. In order to know the digestive tract parasite infection of carnivorous animal and omnivore in Zhengzhou Zoo, the lynx etc 11 species, 48 carnivorous animals and omnivores were investigated, and then those positive animals were treated. The result indicated that the infection rate of parasite of 48 animals was as high as 52%, but most animals' intensity were slight except one male lynx. Mebendazole was used to feed the positive animal at the dosage of 5mg/kg·BW with food at one time. No eggs was detected in feces after 5 days treatment, this show the medicine has good effect to nematode in lynx’s. 
