Abstract: In this study, we evaluated the stimulation of RAW264.7 macrophages with a purified expressed recombinant protein, catabolite control protein A (ccpA) of Streptococcus suis 2. The results showed that this protein could stimulate the secretion of NO and induce IL-6,TNF-α and IFN-γ in RAW264.7 macrophages if in a dose-dependent manner with specific pre-treatment of the cell cultures with iNOS, NF-κB, p38 and ERK 1/2 MAPK pathway inhibitors. This study might provide important proves for the development of regulatory factors on Streptococcus suis 2 infection.
