Fattening Experiment of Poll Dorset×Small-tail Han Sheep

Abstract

Abstract: 12 crossed lambs (3 months)of Poll Dorset×Small-tail han sheep (DH) and 12 lambs of small-tail han sheep (HH) of the same age were divided into two groups to investigate the effects of short-term fattening with yard feeding.The results showed that the average daily gain of DH was signifancantly higher than HH (P<0.05);body length,chest girth and Cannon girth of DH were signifancantly higher than HH(P<0.05); from view of economic benefit,compared with HH,the profit of every DH increased by 57.60 yuan.
