Abstract: Ampelopsis grossedentata flavonoids (AGF) are kind of natural plant chemical additives which extracted from ampelopsis grossedntata. Dihydromyricetin (DMY) is their major chemical composition. The effect of AGF and DMY in animal industry has been researched extensively as feed additives in recent years. It has been found that the AGF and DMY could advance immunity and production of the animal, have anti-oxidation effect, and improve the quality of animal product. The physiological function and application of AGF and DMY in animal industry are reviewed in this paper.
