Abstract: The present study isolated and identified 294 Escherichia coli strains from food-producing animals, for investigating resistance of E.coli strains to kinds of antimicrobials. Susceptibility of 294 isolates to 14 antimicrobials was determined by agar dilution method. Results showed that the resistance frequency of different antimicrobials was varied, and multiple resistance was notable. The frequency of tetracycline and sulfamethoxazole/TMP resistance were the highest, both above 80%. Resistance rate of third-generation cephalosporins was lower relatively.
