Different dosage of cysteamine(CS) were added to the basal diets to study the effect of CS on immunity in piglets. Ninety newborn “Duroc× Landrace×Yorkshire” crossbred piglets were divided into 3 groups with 30 piglets each,and fed with basal diet, basal diet plus 120 mg/kg CS and basal diet plus 200 mg/kg CS, respectively. The trial was conducted for 45 d. Blood samples in 20 piglets each group were taken on 14,24,32,42 day for measuring some immune indices. The results indicated that addition of cysteamine to the basal diet increased significantly the weight and average daily gain, decreased the ratio of feed to gain in piglets, increased significantly the levels of serum IgA,IgG,phagocytosis rates of neutral granular cells and conversion rates of T- lymphocytes. Basal diet with 120 mg/kg CS could improve growth performance more preferably, and with 200 mg/kg CS could enhance the immunity of piglets more significantly. The trial implied that appropriate dosage of CS could effectively inhibit weanling stress and enhance immunity of piglets.

In this paper, the significance and rencent progress of transgenic pigs rich in omega-3 fatty acids are presented. In our study,the sFat-1 gene was chemically synthesized according to the sequence from Caenorhabditis briggssae,and constructed into a mammal expression vector pcDNA3.1sFat-lEGFP. Transgenic sFat-1 gene mice were generated by microinjection of vector into pronuclear zygotes. A modified n-3 fatty acid desaturase gene from C. Briggsae produced high proportion of DHA and DPA in transgenic mice. Based on Function Analysis of n-3 Fatty Acid Desaturase Gene sFat-1, porcine fetal fibroblasts were transfected with vector pcDNA3.1sFat-lEGFP. Positive colony was chosed as donors for nuclear transfer to enucleated MⅡoocytes, cloning transgenic pigs rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

In this test ,32 female Kids of the Fuzz-Wooled Sheep in the Northeast China are divided into four groups at random one of which was used as the contrast group and fed with the basic daily food supplies and the remaining 3 groups were fed with 75,125,175 mg/kg Cysteamine in the daily food supplies respectively . The findings indicate that on average, the test group with 125 mg/kg Cysteamine produced the best result of enabling the kids to increase their weight by 20.96%(P≤0.01)every day and the wool length by 31.51%(P≤0.01), decrease the ratio of the feed to the pork by 15.79%(P≤0.01) and increased the daily income by 66.07%(P≤0.01).

A method of TCL was developed to determine sulfonamides residues in chicken,Sulfonamides were extracted from tissues by dichloromethane and distilled to dry. A silicon G board was used as stationary phase,the mixture of (chloro- form-Trimethyl carbinol) (85∶15)as developping solution,and 0.01% Fluram as revealing agent.The bands were clear without interference.The average recovery was 60%,The detection limit was 0.05 μg/ml.

In order to explore the changing rule of the cholinesterase caused by nitrobenzene poisoning. Once a day, we fed mice with different doses of cholinesterase 30 days in all. The activity of cholinesterase in brain and the quantity of cholinesterase in liver were detected by alky hydroxylamine chromometry. The clinical manifestation of mice were observed during the test.The results indicated that mice show various symptomes such as slow action, obtuse reaction, hyperspasmia and abnormal emotion for example excition, saitivity and continual jump. These symptomes are increasingly obvious with the progressive degree of intoxation and time passing. The activity of cholinesterase in brain was depressed while the quantity of cholinesterase in liver increasing. We concluded that nitrobenzol is neurovirulent and it is able to inhibit the activity of cholinesterase in both liver and brain which displays evident dosage effect.

According to report, four highly polymorphic microsatellite loci possibly linked to production traits and mapped to the region of GDF8 on sheep chromosome 2 were selected. they were BM81124,TEXAN2,FCB128,BMS1591. They were analyzed for polymorphism in Dorset,Suffolk and Texel meat sheep populations. Results showed that the number of alleles were 10,12,7,11 and polymorphic information content / Heterozygosity were 0.7778/0.8045,0.712/0.7520,0.7551/0.7852,0.8057/0.8289.We can see these microsatellite loci have rich polymorphism in three groups.So they can be used as the linkage analyse between the production traits and makers,and used for further location of QTL.

Three experiments were conducted to determine the effect of EGF and IGF1 on maturation of buffalo oocytes in vitro. Oocytes were cultured in oocytes maturation medium with EGF and IGF-1 alone or combinedly at different concentration. The results in experimentⅠshowed that there were significant different between control group and the group with EGF(10,20,30,50 ng/ml) in maturation rate, the group with 50 ng/ml EGF was significantly higher than others(P<0.05). In experiment II the maturation rate of buffalo oocytes was improved significantly in the groups with IGF(30 ng/ml)(P<0.05), but not in the group with 10 ng/ml IGF-1. In experiment III the maturation rate in the group containing 20 ng/ml EGF and 30 ng/ml IGF-1 was significantly higher than 30 ng/ml IGF-1 or 20 ng/ml EGF groups(P<0.05). The results obtained in this study indicate that EGF and IGF-1 have coeffects on maturation of buffalo oocytes in vitro.

Total RNA was isolated from neijiang pig peripheral blood lymphocytes which were stimulated with ConA. Then the pIFN-γ cDNA was amplified by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. The amplified fragment was cloned into vector pMD18-T named pMD-N-IFN-γ and then sequenced. It was found that the amplified fragment was consisted of 603 nucleotides, the ORF consisted of 501 nucleotides, encoding 166 amino acids, Neijang pig IFN-γ gene has more than 99.4% homology with other pigs on Genbank. Subcloning the ORF of pig IFN-γ gene, then the sub-cloned gene was successfully inserted between EcoRI and XhoI site of the eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3.1(+), named pcDNA3.1(+)-N-IFN-γs.

To found a method of getting much more high purity and high viability sertoli cells from adult rabbits’ testis,we used three enzymes which were collagenase,trypsin and hyaluronidase, digested with two steps, at last, isolated sertoli cells from adult rabbits. Then,we treated those cells with hypotonic shock in Tris-HCl, and through selected adhibition cultured, the sertoli cells were sublimated. At the same time,we used morphologic and HE dye to identify them. The result: we got plenty of sertoli cells which were high purity(78.3%)and high viability(90.7%).

The exon 2 of SLA-DRB gene in Tibet pigs was analyzed by PCR-RFLP method. The results showed that the exon 2 digested by restriction endonuclease RsaⅠcould be divided into four kinds of alleles and seven kinds of genotypes in Tibet pigs respectively, and the frequency of BC was the highest(0.4419). The results of Chi Square test indicated that the frequencies of patterns digested by RsaⅠ were not fit in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in Tibet population(P<0.05).

20 American strain Rex rabbits were slaughtered to study the characteristics and correlations of carcass and meat quality. The results showed: the average weight, commercial skin weight, dressing percentage, right hind leg weight, length and circumference length were 2.533 kg, 0.410 kg, 60.70%, 0.182 kg, 30.69 cm and 18.04 cm respectively about 150 days. The Rex rabbit longissimus lumborum and biceps femoris muscles pH of 1 h postmortem (pH1) were 6.42 and 6.43 separately, and pH of 24 h postmortem (pH24) were 6.22 and 6.35 separately. The L*values, a*values and b*values of longissimus lumborum muscle were 54.66, 12.37 and 9.06 respectively, and those of biceps femoris were 52.67, 9.89 and 4.08 respectively. The drip loss, ripe meat ration, cooking loss, Warner-Bratzler Shearing value, water content and intramuscular fat were 2.06%,62.12%,30.44%,2.453 kg.f,73.60% and 1.67% respectively. The positive correlations of commercial skin weight to hot carcass weight, length were high significant (P<0.01), and the positive correlation of commercial skin weight to commercial carcass weight was significant (P<0.05). Weight(hot carcass weight, commercial carcass weight and right hind leg weight), body figure (length and circumference) to drip loss, cooking loss were negative correlations, and to ripe meat ration, WarnerBratzler Shearing value were positive correlations, but there were not significant (P>0.05).

cells (BOECs) in vitro.The results of 5% SDS-PAGE showed that the steroids could induce the BOEC secretion.When the proteins secreted by BOECs (BOEPs) were added into the cultural medium CZB for mouse embryos, we observed that BOEPs could significantly promote the mouse embryos to develop beyond the 2-cell inhibition and to develop more blastula than the proteins from the adult bovine oviduct (BOP) and the proteins from the calf oviduct (COP) (P<0.001).But the fact that the percentage of mouse blastula in BOEP group was lower than the control suggests the BOEPs be short of some proteins, which could promote the cooperation of many proteins better.In addition, the proteins of 30 kD and 56kD in BOEPs may inhibit the embryonic development.

Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) is a highly contagious and infectious viral disease of domestic and wild small ruminants included in the CLASS A list of OIE. It is caused by peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV), a Morbillivirus in family Paramyxoviridae, closely related to renderpest virus (RPV). As there is no cure for this disease, diagnostic technology plays a very important role in disease control. But conventional ways like the agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID), virus neutralization test (VNT), et al. could work well in the surveillance of PPR. Infections serositis in ducks was diagnosesed accoding to the observetions of clinic symptom,pathological changes,experimental diagnosis in Beijing.PA(pasteurella anapestifer) was isolated from heads,hearts and livers of
diseased ducks.PA were cultivated and inactivated by HCHO and mixed with Al(OH)3. The 1-day-old ducks were immunized with 0.5 ml the inactivated vaccines,after 14 days, the ducks were immunized with 1 ml the inactivated vaccines again.The results showed that the vaccine were safe to the ducks,the caccined ducks obtained 95% protective efficacy.In drug sensitivity test, pasteurella anatipestifer was highly susceptible to neomycin and kanamycin.

The characteristic of IBV-M41 and IBV-Ma5 strains cultured in tracheal organ was assessed by the ciliary activity of chicken embryo tracheal organ. After the virus (containing 100TOCID50) was inoculated into trachealring organ cultures, the survival rates of cilia were assessed . The results showed that the survival rates of epithelial cells inoculated with IBV-Ma5 was high than with IBV-M41, which means their culture characteristics accord with their toxicity.

Glycomics, a new subject, is specialized on research of structure and functional features of carbohydrates, especially the biological mode of actions by carbohydrates; therefore glycomics comes to be one of the hot topics of life science research. Polysaccharides and their derivers play a role of reserving various biological information during the whole life time and activities, and transferring substances intra and extra-cellular as well as between cells. At present, β-glucan is one of the most popular research subjects (i.e. carbohydrate research) in the area, among which the earliest sugar studied is Lentinan because of its immunoactivities and anticancer activities The article is a review on biological status of posaccharides, structure of β-glucans, and the relationship between the structure of βglucans and their biological functions. It is described in the article that biological activities of a glucan relate to the molar weight, solubility, branch chain, structure and crystal of the sugar. It was found that β-glucan has many different structures but one- and three-helixes are main forms of senior structures of β-glucan.
