Five Key Indicators Leading the Direction of China Dairy Industry

China dairy industry experienced new trends with the emergence of high cost of milk production, high milk price and high importation in 2010. In 2011,China dairy industry is facing a crossroad. It needs to decide to go into a high cost times or to establish a production model with Chinese characteristics. This paper proposed five key indicators,including production cost per kilogram FCM,feed conversion efficiency,milk solid production,fluid milk overheating index,and feces and urine absorption index,which will play the most important roles in leading the direction of China dairy industry development. The government and the industry should implement the indicators to reveal the essential problems, put forward accurate countermeasures and encourage a sustainable development.

Lipid in diet is one of the main sources of ruminant,it is closely related to ruminant production performance,and also associated with quality and fatty acid composition of ruminant products. Recent researches have focused on measurement practices in lipids digestion and metabolism to improve efficiency and quality of ruminant products. In this review,The author had reviewed the advance in ruminant lipids nutrition in 2010. The current research progress is consist of regulation of fatty acid metabolism in rumen,the efficiency of postruminal infusion of fatty acid metabolism and requirment content,the effect of fat (fatty acids) supplement diet on ruminant production and reproduction performance and fatty acid composition of ruminant products,as well as effect of rumen protected fat on production in ruminants.

To determine the effect of dietary supplementation of lotus leaves extract(LLE) on antioxidant ability and meat quality of yellow broilers, 1200 birds were randomly divided into 3 groups having 10 replicates(half male and half female)of 40 chicks each. The control group was fed a basal diet, the other two treatment groups were fed the basal diet with added 0.1% and 0.2% LLE respectively until 120 days of age. Dietary supplemented with 0.1% LLE increased pH45 min value of muscle in male(P<0.05) and breast meat colour b* value in female(P<0.05). Supplementation with 0.1% LLE also improved total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC)(P<0.05) and glutathioneperoxide(GSH-Px) activity(P<0.01), decreased malondiadehyde(MDA) content in musle of male significantly.The effect of LLE on antioxidant ability of female had a same trend with female, T-AOC was increased(P<0.1), GSH-Px activity was significantly improved(P<0.05), and MDA content was decresed(P<0.1). Compared with the control, 0.2% LLE supplementation also increased breast meat colour b* value in female(P<0.05), but other index of meat quality and antioxidant ability did not differ. The results indicated that the LLE supplementation improved antioxidant ability of yellow broilers and had a benificial effect on meat quality.

75 Nubian ewes were selected and divided into 3 groups randomly. Besides basic grazing, three groups of ewes were treated compound-premix plus urea, concentrated feed and concentrate supplement respectively. Blood hormones and biochemical indexes were determined at the breeding day (0 d), 100 d of pregnancy and 150 d of pregnancy. The results showed as follows:the blood indexes no significant difference at 0 d(P>0.05) in the three groups of ewes. The group of added concentrate supplement had highest insulin, T3 and T4 concentrations at 100 d pregnancy (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Three groups of ewes serum insulin, T3 and T4 concentrations were declining trend at 150 d of pregnancy, however, concentrate supplement feeding group was still the highest one, the differences among the three groups were still existed (P<0.05 or P<0.01). GLU, TP, ALB, ALP, AST, ALT concentrations were increased with pregnancy rising, the group of add concentrate supplement was still the highest one, and there were significant differences among the three groups (P<0.05 or P<0.01). BUN concentration increased at the 100 d of experiment, there was slight decrease at 150 d; the added urea group was the highest one, and there were significant differences among the three groups (P<0.05 or P<0.01).

The experiment was conducted to study the regularity of digestibility and metabolism of diets with different protein levels in fox at prepare breeding period. 180 blue foxes were randomly divided into 4 groups with 45 replicates and each replicate had 1 fox. The foxes in 4 groups were fed with protein levels of 21.64% (group Ⅰ), 26.21% (group Ⅱ),30.43% (group Ⅲ) and 35.10% (group Ⅳ), respectively. The experiment lasted for 52 days, including preset period for 7 days and test period for 45 days. The results showed as follows: foxes in different groups had no significant difference in dry matter output, protein digestibility, fecal nitrogen (P>0.05); dry matter intake in groups Ⅲ and Ⅳ was significant higher than that in groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ (P<0.05 or P<0.01); the digestibility of fat in group Ⅲ was significant higher than that in groups Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅳ (P<0.05 or P<0.01); the nitrogen retention in group Ⅳ was significant lower than that in groups Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ(P<0.01). With the increase of dietary protein levels, nitrogen intake and urine nitrogen were increased (P<0.05 or P<0.01), net protein utilization and biological value of protein gradually decreased (P<0.05 or P<0.01). In conclusion, when the protein level of diet arrived at 30.43%, the nutrient digestibility was optimal, but the diet of 21.64% protein level can satisfy the protein need of the fox at prepare breeding period, and CP utilization efficiency is highest.

In this experiment, four healthy northeast sheeps were selected, which had no significant difference in body condition, the experimental design used 4×4 Latin square to evaluate the effect of the rumen performance fermentation which was treated by the melamine. The 4 treatments were fed respectively with basal diet and basal diet supplemented with 500,750 and 1000 mg/kg melamine. The trial lasted for 42 d. The results showed that, with the amount of melamine added to test increasing, there was no significant difference in the value of pH,NH3-N,VFA between the treatment groups(P>0.05).

Cellulose is one of the essential nutrients for ruminants and ruminants depend on rumen microbial degradate cellulose that they can not digest and use by themselves. The researchers hope that through a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the processes of cellulose degradation in the rumen and information of related microoganisms to regulate rumen fermentation,finally improve animal performance. Therefore,the process of cellulose degradation in the rumen and related microoganisms is an important part of the study of ruminant nutrition. Now the study of individual strains of several species is more in-depth and the model of cellulosome has been established,but we lack the overall understanding of rumen microoganisms, and the study of fibrolytic ruminal microorganisms and enzymes still remain in the realm of theory. In this paper,we will discuss the process of cellulose degradation in the rumen and the major relevant microorganisms,focusing on fibrolytic ruminal microorganisms and the classification and structure of corresponding enzymes and the methods of solid-phase bacteria elution.

Ducks intramuscularly inoculated with avian influenza virus strains,A/duck/Guangdong/185/2004(H5N1) and A/duck/Guangdong/221/2004(H5N1), showed that the serum alanine aminotransferase(glutamic-pyruvic transminase), aspartate aminotransferase(glutamic-oxaloacetic transminase), alkaline phosphatase,total protein, creatinine, cholesterol, calcium and phosphorus were significantly increased; while glucose and triglycerides were obviously decreased; albumin was decreased at first and increased later. We considered that assaying these blood biochemical indexes were useful for diagnosing avian influenza.

To detect the inhibition of cinobufagin (CBG) on human gastric cancer MGC-803 cells and study its anti-tumor mechanism. The inhibition of cell growth of CBG was measured by MTT assay. Morphological changes were observed by optical microscopy. Apoptosis and cell cycle distribution of MGC-803 cells were determined by flow cytometry.Apoptosis of MGC-803 cell was detected by Annexin V/PI method. Cinobufagin inhibited the growth of MGC-803 cells. MGC-803 cells treated with cinobufagin showed typical characteristics of apoptosis. The cells became round,cell detachment,membrane blebbing,and cell shrinkage with a condensed cytoplasm. A net increase in the percentage of cells at G2/M phase was encountered,and this phase was maintained throughout the treatment time. Annexin V/PI flow cytometry analysis showed that CBG can cause MGC-803 cells in early apoptosis. CBG inhibited the growth of gastric cancer MGC-803 cells,induced morphological changes,made cells arrest at G2/M phase and induced apoptosis of MGC-803. The mechanism may be related to the induction of apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.

In order to explore the immunologic difference between Chinese indigenous and exotic pigs, immune indexes, including serum levels of IgG, IL-12, IFN-γ, neutrophil function and total white blood cell count, were compared between Songliao black pig and Large white pig, partial production index were detected also. The results indicated that total white cell count, as well as neutrophil function, levels of IL-12 and IFN-γin culture supernatant of peripheral blood mononuclear cell were similar between the two pig breeds (P>0.05). The serum levels of IgG was significant between Songliao black pig and Large white pig(P<0.05), IL-12 and IFN-γ of Songliao black pig were very significantly higher than that of Large white pig(P<0.01). There were no difference between two breeds in birth weight, weaning weight and others(P>0.05). The 180-days-aged weight of Songliao black pig was significantly lower than that of Large white pig (P<0.01). The results were helpful to explore the immunologic mechanism of difference of disease resistance between Chinese indigenous and exotic pigs.

In this study, we compared the body weights,organ coefficient and blood physiological indexes about the Guizhou Baixiang pigs and three different hybrid pigs which Guizhou Baixiang pigs hybridized with Large Yorkshire,Duroc and Landrace, respectively. The results showed that Guizhou Baixiang pigs was very significantly lower than three kinds of hybrid pigs in body weight (P<0.01). Compared with three hybrid pigs,Guizhou Baixiang pigs had differences in all organ coefficient except of the heart. At the same time,RBC, HCT of Guizhou Baixiang pigs were very significantly higher than Large Yorkshire×Baixiang (YX) (P<0.01). The MCHC, LYM, LYM(%)and GRA(%) were also significantly higher than the Landrace×Baixiang (LX) (P<0.05) in the blood physiological indexes.

It can negatively control muscle cells growth by inhibiting transcription activity of MyoD family member. It is a negative correlation between expression of MSTN and change of muscle weight. In this study we selected tissue culture method to isolation chicken intestinal epithelial cells (IEC), using curettage, phase contrast digest and adherence methods to purify cells, with 0.05% Trypsin to digest and passage, immunocytochemical method to identify intestinal epithelial cells. The results showed that hadro-activity intestinal epithelial cells could be dissociated by tissue culture method, and obtain purified intestine epithelium. Morphology and immunocytochemical method showed that intestinal epithelial cells surface antigen demonstrate masculine, and purified intestine epithelium could be passaged in vitro.

Chicken skeletal muscle satellite cells were obtained from the leg muscle tissue of chicken embryo by tissue separation. The cells were studied on passage,cryopreservation and resuscitation,and identified by specific gene expression assays, and a new method was established on isolation,passage cryopreservation and resuscitation of chicken skeletal muscle satellite cells. The results of specific gene expression showed that the cells could express specific marker genes Pax7,but not MyoD,Myogenin of the myogenesis genes of muscle satellite cell,which indicated that the satellite cells were of higher purity and didn’t differentiate into skeletal muscle cell.

In the mid-1990s, the Luminex Corporation(USA) exploited the first suspension array system, which used fluorescent-coded carboxylic beads as solid carrier. Proteins, oligonucleotides, small peptides and lipids have been adsorbed or chemically coupled to the surface of microspheres to format detected probe. According to the different proportion of red and orange fluorescent dyes inside beads, the beads are divided into 100 different types. The intensity of fluorescent associated with beads and fluorescent probe are tested simultaneously by special detector on suspension array system. The detector can distinguish beads of different types basing on different proportion of two fluorescent dyes while recording the intensity of fluorescent from probe on every bead to achieve high throughput detection. This article reviews the research regarding suspension assay system and its application in detection.

Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) plays a central role in normal lipid metabolism as the key enzyme involved in the hydrolysis of triglycerides present in chylomicrons and very low density lipoproteins. In this research, LPL was seen as a candidate gene for cold resistance, analysis the expression of LPL in heart, liver, stomach, spleen, kidney, lung, large intestine, small intestin, uterus, ovary, muscles of back, leg muscle, fat tissues and during cold induced. The results showed that LPL was an abroad expression gene, but the level was different. It was higher expressed in heart, muscles of back, leg muscle and fat, but lower expressed in uterus, ovary. The expression level of LPL was not different after cold induced.

Based on the ORF2 sequences of PCV2 available in GenBank,two pairs of primers were designed and site-directed mutagenesis method based on overlap extension PCR was used to introduce mutations in the ORF2 fragment.DNA sequencing showed that TCTAGAT of 372—378 bp sites had been changed into TATAACT from mutagenesis, the endonuclease sites XbaⅠwas destroyed, site-directed mutagenesis was successfully implemented.Eukaryotic expression vector(pAD5-Blue) was constructed and expressed biological activity protein of Cap.It laid the foundation for further study and played a great role for the PCV2 subunit vaccine research.

To analyze the differences of the NADH dehydrogenase subunit 1(nad1) gene of Ascaridia galli strains from Hunan province, the partial nad1(pnad1) was amplified from each Ascaridia galli sample, and pnad1 sequences were aligned using the Clustal X 1.81. The lengths of all the pnad1 sequences was 408 bp. There was no significant variation in pnad1 sequences within Ascaridia gall, while inter-species difference was obvious, so pnad1 sequences could be used as genetic marker for population genetic studies of roundworms. The results of this study lay down the foundation for further study on molecular epidemiology and diagnostics of Ascaridia galli.

The purpose of granulosa cells in mice to find a suitable environment for the growth in vitro. Respectively, separated by experimental mouse ovarian granulosa cells after serum RMPI1640, with 10% serum RMPI1640, serum DMEM (high glucose) , with 10% serum DMEM (high glucose) and containing 15% serum DMEM (high glucose) cultured in this study. The results showed that DMEM (high glucose) culture was generally better than RMPI1640, and containing 15% serum DMEM (high glucose) was an ideal medium.

A single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP,C\T) that creates an extra GATA-1 site (T allele) in intron 4 of the swine erythropoietin receptor (EPOR) gene was genotyped use PCR-SSCP method in Large white and Landrace pigs in this study. AA, AB and BB genotypes were found in Landrace and Large white pigs populations, which showed that a moderate polymorphism. Meanwhile, the effect of polymorphism for this loci on total number born (TNB), number born alive (NBA) and born weoght (WB) were analyzed. The results indicated that the individuals of the first parity Landrace pig with BB genotype showed more WB significantly than that with AB and AA genotypes (P<0.05), the individual of multiparous sows with BB genotype showed more TNB significantly than that with AB genotype (P<0.05), and B allele might have the positive effective on TNB, NBA and WB of the first parity sow. While in Large white pig, the TNB,NBA and WB of the first parity sow with BB genotype were more than those with genotype AA and AB, but the results showed no significant difference (P>0.05). The WB of multiparous sows with AB genotype showed more WB significantly than that with AA genotype (P<0.05). B allele might have the positive effective on TNB, NBA and WB of the first parity sow.

The physiological functions realized by combining receptors with target organs. In this review, we summarize the structure character and functions of activin and inhibin, discussed the mode of action for its receptors.

In order to reveal the effects of superior spermatic nerve (SSN) on adult rat testis, 25 Wistar rats were randomly divided into 2 groups. The experimental group rats were transected the SSN and samples were collected in the 30th after operation. The results demonstrated that testicular denervation had no obvious influence on testis mass(P<0.05),but significantly reduced cauda epididymal sperm counts(P<0.01). The immunostaining of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) revealed that the denervation had no influence on the proliferarion of spermatogonium and primary spermatocyte,but changed the morphology of seminiferous tubules and the distribution of germ cells. In addition,RT-PCR results showed that testis denervation had no influence on the expression of testicular 3β-hydroxy sterol dehydrogenase (3β-HSD) mRNA,but significantly decreased testicular steroidogenic acute regulatory protein (StAR) and cholesterol-side-chain cleavage enzyme (P450scc) mRNA levels(P<0.05). These results suggested that SSN play an important role on the synthesis of testosterone and spermatogenesis through regulating the expression of adrenergic receptors,StAR and P450scc mRNA.

In this study, 8 pair primers were designed based on erythropoietin receptor (EPOR) RNA (AF274305) and DNA (EU407778) sequences in porcine which were submitted on GenBank. Genetic variation was analyzed by sequencing using a DNA pool from 10 Beijing Black pigs and 10 Large white pigs. The results showed that the porcine EPOR gene contains one 5′untranslated region (UTR), eight exons, seven introns, and one 3′UTR, covering at least 5.2 kb of genomic DNA. 9 new single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were identified: g.705G>T in intron 1, g.1450C>T in intron 2, g.2373C>T in intron 4, and g.2882C>T, g.3035A>G, g.3132A>T, g.3295C>T, g.3942C>>T and g.4106G>A in intron 6.

DNA melting curve analysis of SYBR Green Ⅰ was to be established as a method for the detection of dovine and sheep derived materials in feed. SYBR Green Ⅰ was used as fluorescent. The sensitivity was improved by optimizing the reaction system. Comparing with the method of GB/T20190-2006, the accuracy of the method of DNA melting curve analysis was 100%. The method of DNA melting curve analysis could be used for the dectetion of bovine and sheep derived materials in feed.

Five primers were designed to amplify IGFⅡ gene and SNPs were detected by PCR-SSCP in 85 Jilin white goose meat stock population. The population genetic construction and the correlation between SNPs and carcass traits were analyzed. The results of PCR-SSCP showed that there were 3 genotypes of AA, AB, BB in exon 3 region of IGFⅡ, the genotypic frequency were 0.7647, 0.1412 and 0.0941, respectively,AA was dominance genotypes. There were 2 allele genes of A,B, gene frequency were 0.8353 and 0.1647, respectively, A was dominance allele gene. One SNP was found in
exon 3 region of IGFⅡ (A→G), sequence analogy indicated that it was a silent mutation, and the amino sequence was not change. By variance analysis for three genotypes, AA, AB genotypes were significant lower than BB genotype for half wipe chest weight and liver weight (P<0.05), AA genotype were significant lower than BB genotype for leg weight (P<0.01). There were no significant level for whole wipe chest, chest weight and wing weight(P>0.05).

To evaluate the prescription’s clinical safety from the perspective of modern pharmacology,studies were made on the toxicology of anti-dysentery powder. In this experiment we examined the acute toxicity of anti-dysentery powder and realgar by intragastric administration in mice; assessed its long-term toxicity in rats through recording the amount of hydroposia and feeds-foraging per day and body weight per week,measuring hematologic and blood biochemical indexed after administration for 24 hours and withdrawal for 2 weeks,and made pathological section after intragastric administration for 4 weeks in rats with low(4 g/kg),middle(8 g/kg),and high(16 g/kg) dosage groups. The results showed that: the medial lethal dose(LD50) of anti-dysentery powder by oral administration for mouse was 124.8 g/kg and its 95% confidence limits were 111.2 to 142.5 g/kg,while,LD50 of realgar by oral administration for mouse was 10.5 g/kg,and its 95% confidence limits were 9.7 to 11.1 g/kg. Rats in low dose group did not appear visible toxicity and in middle dose group,rats showed significant toxicity,manifesting in reduced feed and water,body weight loss,gastrointestinal hyperemia and hemorrhage,presence of liver inflammatory cell infiltration,vacuolar degeneration of liver cells,hyporrhea of kidney and heart,as well as increased serum urea nitrogen,lutamate-pyruvate transaminase,glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase and alkaline phosphatase. Rats in high dose group did not die during the treatment. The above toxic reaction basically disappeared after withdrawal for 2 weeks. It was concluded that anti-dysentery powder had a lower toxicity,and the medication was safe according to the dose defined by China Veterinary Pharmacopoeia,but with long-term use it could cause accumulation,resulting in damage of liver and kidney,and meanwhile,its toxicity was reversible.

A virus strain was isolated from feces of a mink suspected MEV infection. It was demonstrated to be MEV by morphology, physical and chemical properties, serum test, PCR and animal test,and it was named MEV-ZJ1. Minks were artificially infected by MEV-ZJ1 developed obvious symptoms of enteritis post-inoculation.The MEV-ZJ1 strain was virulent for minks. The successful isolation of MEV-ZJ1 provided a basis for further search on epidemiology, pathogenesis, vaccination and diagnostic.

The results were positive and negative to JEV when positive serum and negative serum were detected by both HI and indirect ELISA, respectively. 74 sera from 9 farms were detected by ELISA and HI, the coincidence rate of both methods was 85.1%(63/74). No significant difference was found between the two methods (P>0.05). Furthermore, the results of 24 serum samples from healthy pigs in farm without suffering from JE were negative by HI and ELISA by testing, the coincident rate of both methods was 100%. The results of detecting 10 positive sera were more sensitive by ELISA than by HI. It indicated that indirect ELISA was the same as HI to detect antibody against JEV in swine sera and more suitable for large-scale detection of IgG antibodies against Japanese encephalitis in pig’s sera.

In order to prepare the monoclonal antibody of goose parvovirus, BALB/c mice were immunized by concentrated GPV and anti-GPV hybridoma cells(4B4) were obtained by hybridoma technique, indirect ELISA and limiting dilution assay. After identification, the heavy chain of McAb was IgG1 subtype and the light chain was κ chain. The results of ELISA and Western blotting showed that GPV and GPV-VP3 protein could be specially recognized by 4B4 McAb. It indicated that the epitope recognized by 4B4 McAb might be the conservated region of GPV VP3 protein. This research settled the foundation for the characterization of GPV epitope and the investigation of GPV diagnostic reagent.

To understand the recent prevalence of several viral diseases in sick pig farms, 147 tissue specimens were collected from 50 farms in 11 provinces (cities) and examined during January 2010 to May 2010 by RT-PCR and PCR methods. And 458 serum samples from 26 farms were examined for pseudorabies gE antibodies by ELISA method. The positive rate of porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) was highest with 75.3% (70/93). The positive rate of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) followed with 57.4% (78/136), and that of highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (HP-PRRSV) was 43.5% (54/124). The positive rates of classical swine fever virus (CSFV) and pseudorabies virus (PRV) were 37.7% (52/138) and 21.0% (21/100), respectively. The positive rate of pseudorabies gE antibody was 16.4% (75/458). 46.9% (69/147) of samples including two and more than two species pathogens were detected, and HP-PRRSV+PCV2, CSFV+PCV2, and CSFV+HP-PRRSV+PCV2 were three forms of the most common. PRRSV (50.0%) was the most common cause of pig reproductive disorders; CSFV (56.0%) and PCV2 (48.0%) were the common causes of diarrhea in the pre /post-weaning; HP-PRRSV (53.5%), CSFV (50.7%) and PCV2 (48.0%) were commonly detected in nursery pigs with high fever syndrome. The results provided references for the diagnosis, prevention and control of swine diseases.

In order to master the immune effectiveness of gE gene deleted vaccine of pseudorabies virus and formulate rational immunization programs, the immunity tests had been done with domestic and imported gE gene deleted attenuated vaccine of pseudorabies virus by 4 different immune procedures in 250 sows and 1000 piglets. During the trial, according to the proportion of regular collecting the blood of immune pigs, the antibodies were detected by ELISA diagnostic kits. Trials had proved that whether domestic or imported gene deleted vaccine of pseudorabies virus could produce a good immune effects which were good whether immunization with the child, or twice a year, or every 4 months. Boar antibodies passed rate of 100%, the piglets antibodies passed rate of 100% before 49-day-old, decreased gradually after 75-day-old and disappeared after 120-day-old. To make a stronger immune system of pigs and don’t give the opportunity of the wild poisonous invasion, it proposes the appropriate time for the second booster immunization after the first immunization of the piglets. Only the boars and sows were immunized in spring and autumn, but the piglet group was not immunized and the antibodies of piglets will reduce negative after 35 days, which can not resist the wild poisonous invasion, this method of immunization should not be promoted.

To develop a high performance liquid chromatography method for determination of 3-methyl-quinoxaline-2-carboxylic acid (MQCA) in porcine liver.MQCA was extracted from porcine liver with 0.3 mol/L hydrochloric acid. The extract was cleaned up on MAX Sep-Pak Silica solid-phase extraction cartridge. Then the eluate was collected and dried under a gentle stream of nitrogen gas and the dissolved residue was analyzed by HPLC. The HPLC separation was performed on a Symmetry Shield reversed phase C18 boned silica column, with mobile phase of acetonitrile-methanol-0.5% formic acid (15∶50∶35,V/V/V) and determination wave of 320 nm in an UV detector.The validation was carried out on spiked porcine liver(spiked at 20~250 μg/kg), and the average recoveries of target drug ranged from 72.35% to 85.00%, with intra-day relative standard deviations(RSD)(n=5) of 5.56% to 9.49%, and inter-day RSD(n=3) of 5.96% to 9.63%.The limits of quantification (LOQ) in porcine liver was 20 μg/kg and the limits of detection (LOD) was 6.65 μg/kg.The results demonstrated that the sensitivity, accuracy, and precision of this method meet the requirements of veterinary drug residue analysis. The method is applicable to detect MQCA in porcine liver.

Glutaraldehyde method was used in this study to conjugate sodium Penicillin and bovine serum albumin (BSA) and ovalbumin (OVA) so as to synthetic complete antigen PEN-BSA and PEN-OVA. Ten Horqin oxes with 24 months old were selected. The Nutrients, tenderness, pH and objective color of blade bolar, chuck tender, blade oyster, neck, highrib, ribeye, striploin, tenderloin were measured. By statistical analysis, the results showed that protein, fat, moisture, tenderness, pH and a*, respectively, were affected by different location (P<0.05).L* and b* were not affected by cuts(P>0.05). In order to improve the resistance of probiotics on the adverse environmental, and to make them reach the stomach by active state and play the corresponding effect, use bacteria that our laboratory isolated as experimental objects, and use the technology of microcapsules coated with a combination of freeze-drying, design L9 (34) orthogonal test, to filter the best formula of preparation of microencapsulated Lactobacillus,and detection the characteristics of Lactobacillus microcapsules. The test results proved that with the sodium alginate concentration of 3%, calcium chloride concentration of 2%, skim milk powder concentration of 4%, lactose concentration of 6%, the embedding yields of viable bacteria in microcapsules reached 92.40%, and the product has good acid resistance and intestinal-lysis,and it has good storage stability at room temperature.

To understand epidemic condition of canine distemper in Zhengzhou, and to provide reference basis for the prevention of canine distemper. 480 dogs serum samples from Zhengzhou were detected for the level of antibody against by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), the result showed that the average positive rate was 16.04%, and the dog under 3 years old was 13.13%, the dog above 3 years old was 2.91%. The morbidity of the canine distemper was still high, the positive rate was the highest in the dog under 3 years old, so attention should be paid to canine distemper, and prevent the spread of canine distemper.

The alcohol and water were used as solvent to optimize the best abstraction technique of Genhuang dispersible tables. In this experiment,the chinese herbs were abstracted with the different ethanol concentrations (40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% and 100%) and water. The amount of baicalin and the extract rate were used as the index of the best abstraction technique. The best extraction technologic conditions were as the following. 70% ethanol was used to abstract according to percolation method. The gruffs were added ten times amount of water and extracted two times. They were two hours and one hour. After 70% alcohol was used to extract according to percolation method, we extracted the remaining gruffs according to decocting method. This process is simple and feasible, and it is suitable for industrialized large-scale manufacture.

This paper reviews the effects of materal hyperthermic and mal-nutrition on the fetal growth performance and organ development of animal model. Many researches indicate that hypoxia and mal-nutrition will influence fetel growth,and simultaneously have an impact on the function and metabolism of some organs,including heart,brain,liver and kidney. Oxygen and nutrients both play importmant role in maintaining fetal health and organ development.
Study on the Clinical Effect of a Compound Preparation for Avian Colibacillosis

The compound preparation is consisted of Florfenicol and acid slim mould, which is a Western compound preparation. We chose 420 AA kero-chickens of uniform size and divided them into the following 14 groups (30 chickens for each group) randomly, compound preparation group (which includes the high dose, the moderate dose and the low dose), Florfenicol control group, acid slim mould group, infected control group as well as healthy control group. We used seven groups for the prophylactic trial, while the other seven groups for the therapeutic test. The results demonstrated that the compound preparation can prevent the avian colibacillosis effectively, which can be used for the prevention of avian colibacillosis.

It was aimed to establish high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)method for determination of p-coumaric acid (PCA) in PCA solution. The p-coumaric acid was successfully separation performed on XTerra〖KG-*4〗〖XC1.TIF〗RP18 column at ambient temperature,MeOH-1% acetic acid (40∶60) was the mobile phase,the detection wavelength was 310 nm and flow-rate 1 mL/min. The results showed that there was good liner relationship(r=0.999904) in the range of 2 to 500 μg/mL,RSD=0.5%,the average recovery rate was 98.22% to 101.07%. The results showed that the simple,rapid and accurate method could be used for the quality control of PCA solution.

Development of the vitro culture of Balantidium coli in RPMI 1640 medium is crucial to the further study of the life cycle and pathogenetic mechanism of these intestinal protozoa. The population growth of B.coli under different culture conditions,including concentrations of starch and serum, the initial pH value and various dosages of trophozoites in RPMI 1640 medium were compared. Results indicated that 30 mg/bottle of starch and 20% serum in the RPMI 1640 medium were appropriate for culturing B.coli. The optimal initial pH value was 7.0. The natural population growth rate and the maximum population density clearly differed with different seeded doses of B.coli. These findings suggested that RPMI 1640 medium could be used to the culture of B.coli.

This study was aimed to explore the effect of anti-stress treatment on disease occurrence of the heifers after arrival at feedlots. Before transport, the first batch of 69 heifers were injected intra-muscularily(im) Catosal, while the second bactch of 39 heifers were injected intra-muscularily(im) inactivated Mycoplasma bovis vaccine. The duration of transportation was 32 h and 36 h respectively without providing any water or feed for the heifers during the highway. Observation continued for 30 d after transportation and record the temperature and humidity of the environment as well as morbidity information. The results show that all heifers almost at status of heat stress all the time. The first batch of beef cattle and the second in succession after the arrival of disease, the accumulated morbidities of the two tested groups are lower than that of the two control groups before the ninth day and the thirteenth day respectively after transport in two batches, but later, the accumulated morbidities of the two tested groups are higher than that of the two control groups in two batches; the morbidity and the mortality of the first batch are higher for 1. 23% and 20.29% than that of the second batch.

The study was conducted in one hundred and 140 minks that were birth in 2009,which accorded to seven different mating systems(A, B, C, D, E, F and G), and then compared the significant difference on the basis of the traditional way. The results showed that the litter size were not significant;the pregnancy was highly significant difference in between A and F, between C and G(P=0.0009;P=0.0004);the difference of birthing date was significant in between A and E, between C and G (P=0.0119;P=0.0253). It also suggested that A, B and C could replace the trational way and not affect results through comparing the breeding indexes. Furthmore, factors such as continued mating stimulus, stimulative frequency and mating at intervals of one cycle may contribute to the implantation of embryo, and then shorten the pregnancy.
